Hammer Crusher Main Functions and Applications

* Function: Primarily used for primary crushing and resource recovery. Its purpose is not to crush metal into perfectly regular, fine particles, but rather to tear, knead, and flatten them into a size that is easily sortable and transportable, while also completely separating any adhering materials (such as plastic, wood, and stone).

* Typical Applications:

* Construction Waste Processing: Crushing concrete blocks while simultaneously processing mixed rebar (its signature feature is "integrated crushing of reinforced concrete").

* Used Car and Daily Use Recycling: Crushing car bodies and used appliances (washing machines, refrigerators), separating metal, plastic, and foam.

* Industrial Waste Processing: Processing of waste molds, castings, metal scraps, and scrapped pallets (including nails).

Hammer Crusher Design Concept: Why Is It "Iron-Resistant"?

Ordinary hammer crushers are metal-resistant because their hammer heads are hinged and rotatable. When encountering unbreakable metal, the hammer heads swing to relieve the force, causing the metal to get stuck in the rotor, clogging the screen, and even bending the hammer shaft and damaging the bearings.

The "iron-resistant" heavy hammer crusher fundamentally solves this problem through the following design:

1. Irreversible Rotation (Core Feature):

* The rotor rotates only in one fixed direction and does not allow reverse rotation.

* The hammer head is rigidly connected to the rotor, not hinged. It resembles a giant "stick" or "forging hammer," firmly fixed to the rotor.

* This design ensures that when encountering metal, the hammer head does not swing back. Instead, it uses the enormous kinetic energy (inertia) of the entire rotor to bend, flatten, or crush the metal, or simply "throw" it out of the discharge port.

2. Heavy-Duty Overall Structure:

* Heavy-Duty Casing: The casing is welded from extremely thick steel plates and even features internal reinforcement ribs to withstand the immense internal stresses generated by metal impact and prevent the casing from cracking.

* Giant Rotor: The rotor's diameter and weight are far greater than those of ordinary hammer crushers, providing a massive moment of inertia. Like a large hammer, the greater its mass, the greater its impact force, making it less likely to be "blocked" by small pieces of metal.

* High-Strength Hammerhead: The hammerhead is massive and heavy, typically cast from top-tier wear- and impact-resistant materials such as high-manganese steel or ultra-high chromium alloy. The striking surface is hardened with a weld overlay treatment, making it extremely wear- and impact-resistant.

3. Grate-Free Design:

* Most heavy-duty metal crushers eliminate the bottom grate (grid).

* Benefit: The problem of metal parts getting stuck in the gaps between the sieve plates is completely eliminated. The discharge particle size is controlled by the gap between the hammerhead and the impact plate.

* This design enables the crusher to process larger and more irregularly shaped metal mixtures.
